Who else loves the Holiday Season? Okay, let’s go further… What about the holiday season, mixed in with a mini session and also the cutest little VW photo bus around? Let’s see… family time, family photos, and Penny the Photo Bus? I think you might have just described the perfect afternoon… in my opinion! And once a year, we here at Penny the Photo Bus, host a festive afternoon that is full of just that! Family time, fun with friends, and taking the most adorable photos for all of those Christmas cards that need to be sent out.

We recently hosted our first Holiday BYOC mini session event and had the best time with our clients. (What is BYOC??? Bring Your Own Camera. of course!) Our clients simply came to our chosen location with their own camera (or cell phone), along with their photographer, their clients, a friend, or even their dear mama, and they took their own photos!!! We had a ball!! It made me so happy to see them at the end of their session time, smiling as they drove away, with their own photos inside of their own cameras (or cell phones) ready to go home and make their own Christmas cards. 🎄

BYOC – Bring your own camera (Behind the scenes and final photos)

Penny just sat there all afternoon, as a photo prop, looking precious. She was all dressed up for the holiday season and was so happy to host the event. We had the sweetest clients out for the afternoon, and it was wonderful! We always encourage our clients to enjoy taking photos, both inside and outside of the photo bus. Our sweet Penny loves hosting and she’s always so welcoming to her guests!

Being a photographer myself, my job on this day was not what I am used to. Typically, I am always the one who is giving all the instructions and posing my clients, but on this day I had the pleasure of just hosting, along with Penny, for the afternoon. What fun!! I loved helping our clients with fixing fly away hairs, adjusting shirts, standing up props that the wind blew over, and even making the sweetest pups look at the camera! I also realized that I’m a pretty good hype girl as well!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Among the “picture takers” on this day, we had two professional photographers, Stasia and Laura, who came with their clients. They were even kind enough to share their final photos for me to share here today. And as a photographer, myself, I always love seeing the different styles that other photographer have! They were all so beautiful to me!! 🥰

After the event was over, I knew that this wasn’t just a “first” for us. This would become an annual event for us. We can’t wait until next year’s Holiday season so we can do this again.
