The day had finally arrived! This beautiful Sydonie Mansion wedding in Mount Dora had been on our calendar for nearly a year and a half, and we had been counting down the days. We couldn’t wait to trailer Penny the two-hour drive because we just knew that this was going to be one of those weddings we’d never forget.
I still remember meeting Ashley at our very first bridal show with Penny the Photo Bus. She stopped by our booth with her mom, and from that very first conversation, I knew she was someone special. When her face popped up on our Zoom consultation months later, I was so excited. She shared all about her wedding plans, and it was the first time I had ever heard of the gorgeous Sydonie Mansion. From that moment on, I couldn’t wait for their wedding day to finally arrive.
Eighteen months later, the wait was over. We even started packing Penny a little earlier than usual because we were just so excited to head over to Mount Dora.
Arriving at the Beautiful Sydonie Mansion
As we drove onto the property, we were immediately surrounded by towering oak trees, beautiful flowers, and lush Florida greenery. All of the landscape almost hid the mansion itself until suddenly it appeared through the trees. It was absolutely breathtaking.
After checking in with the wedding planner and gathering the details for the day, we got Penny set up and wedding-ready. My eyes kept drifting toward the ceremony space beneath the massive oak trees. Their sprawling branches created the most beautiful canopy of shade. That shade was something that we all appreciated on such a warm Florida afternoon.
So, we finished setting up Penny and everything was perfectly prepared. We were looking forward to the guests arriving. And, soon we began hearing laughter and conversations as family and friends gathered. Their joy was contagious, and it was obvious how deeply everyone loved and supported Ashley and Zack.
Then it was time.
A Ceremony Filled with Love and Legacy
Ashley walked down the aisle looking absolutely stunning in her elegant gown with long train. One of the most memorable moments of the entire day came when her father stepped forward, not simply to give her away, but to officiate the ceremony.
He blended scripture, humor, and stories about family and legacy in such a meaningful way. It was personal, emotional, and so heartfelt. When Ashley and Zack were finally pronounced husband and wife, the cheers erupted and never seemed to stop.
Then it was Penny’s turn.
Penny the Photo Bus Steals the Show
As guests enjoyed cocktail hour, they naturally wandered over to explore the photo bus. Some wanted pictures, while many simply wanted to peek inside and share stories about their own old VW experiences that they remembered growing up.
That’s one of our favorite things about Penny. She has an incredible way of bringing people together. Complete strangers quickly become friends as they reminisce, laugh, and create new memories together.
As dinner wrapped up and the sun began to set, the “photos” light turned on, creating the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable evening. Family members who hadn’t seen each other in years gathered inside the bus, filling it with laughter, hugs, and countless photo booth memories. And, before we knew it, the evening had flown by.
A Perfect Ending to a Perfect Mount Dora Wedding
Guests gathered outside of the front of Sydonie Mansion for Ashley and Zack’s grand exit while we packed up Penny for the drive home. Hearing the cheers as they drove away was the perfect ending to an unforgettable celebration. Our hearts were so full.
Ashley and Zack, thank you for trusting Penny the Photo Bus to be part of your beautiful Sydonie Mansion wedding. It was truly an honor to celebrate alongside your families and friends.
We wish you a lifetime filled with love, laughter, and beautiful adventures together.
